These Canada made Lanyards have a pewter skulls at the base and a slider skull at the top to lock down the lanyard to your knife. This is quite a handy thing beyond the obvious cool factor as it adds an extra 2 to 3 inches of collapsible handle grip to your knife. To install this you simply push the closed end through your lanyard hole and then loop the lanyard base through it and slide the small skull to lock the slip knot. If your knife's lanyard hole is on the small side you could still use a small keychain loop to attach these but the special small gauge para cord the maker uses on these should fit through most holes with a paperclip hook and a little mineral oil or whatever's handy.
