When the blade is opened just about 5% of the travel, via the thubstud, the coil spring is activated and the blade is snapped out into the open position as fast as any automatic. Construction is solid with checkered Polyamide scales, machine screws, stainless liner lock and a shaving sharp 440 stainless (57RC) blade.
