Auto drive is standard coil type with a plunge lock with a fast and precise snap into the open position - and a tight lock up. On the spine of the knife there is also a safety slider that makes it so you can double lock the blade in the open or closed position against an accidental opening or closing while in use or riding in the pocket via the clip on the reverse.
