Microtech's most popular side opener is back with a new design for 2010! Out of production for a couple years, this mid/large sized auto features a
faster than light auto blade and has all the refinements found throughout
the Microtech line that made Microtech the knife to have ABOVE ANY OTHER!
These new LUDT models feature an additional body screw located at the
butt of the knife and two machine turned anodized spacers to strengthen
the design. In addition the lanyard hole has been relocated to the topside
of the butt (the 2nd spacer is used for the lanyard) to bring the pocket clip as high as possible for deep in the
pocket carry. Finally one
of the most outstanding features of this knife, the one that made it so
popular initially in addition to its fine materials construction and tight
as a drum fit, is the just perfect sizing of this model that no one short
of Dalton in his recently produced "mini seal" has ever achieved. The
blade to handle ratio is absolutely perfect, the handle is thin enough
to not show up in the pocket and better yet the handle is profiled extremely
well so it locks right into the grip. Also it should be noted that this
new model does have a pocket clip however the original LUDT/UDT knives
produced as far back as mid 1994 did not have pocket clips. Pocket clips
are an excellent way to carry a knife and keep safely attached to your
person however if you want to experience this knife the way it was originally
designed try removing the clip!
All black handles and hardware tactical version delivered in combo edge black blade.
