The latest and greatest from ProTech in full-auto is served in the #2 size with the signature Walter Brend design dagger blade crafted from special Mike Norris SAN MAI Damascus and handle inlaid with carbon fiber. Ready for your pocket or collection this coil fired springer is marked "prototype" as they are the 1st custom model #2's to deliver from the manufactuer.
The model one Brend fighter blade, shown above with it's large daggeresque blade and distinct upswept middle ridge, appears on many of the Maker's custom built fixed and folding designs but hasn't been built anywhere in full-auto for at least 9 years. Up until 1997 these could be ordered from WhiteWolf Knives in North Carolina and it was the combat auto fighter of choice of three S/M/L Brend Auto designs built at the time. Many of these knives were sold at Fort Bragg and through a few dealers most getting pocketed at the now defunct Solder of Fortune Expo in Las Vegas. And of course many were shipped out to PVK customers who ordered them in the 1997 spring catalog. Supplies eventually ran out in early 1998 and the knife was longer produced. Interestingly enough the shop that was building these Brend Autos focused most of its energy the next year into developing the Nemesis 3 (a Microtech knife comissioned and orginally delivered only by White Wolf Knives) while at the same producing it's other non-brend in house autos designed by Buck Woodard and Jim Ray. These knives were the fer De Lance and the White Wolf pocket auto along with one other AFO sized fighter.
