This is top a ten weapon right here. The SOG Daggert has a special balance to it combined with a stick-in-hand the cats paw kraton grip and hairsplitting razor sharp double edged blade. These have always been a popular item (since about 1995) but were always lacking in terms of the carry sheath - you wouldn't want to fall down on this double edged snake carried in a nylon sheath with a little plastic liner. Kydex on the other hand is safe enough to roll around with so it's the best carry option possible. What are the other Top 10 battle daggers? A few discontinued AL Mar models from back in the day, Some Randall designs. The Cold Steel Tai Pan must be close to the top and the Gerber Applegate. #1 would go to the Gerber Mark 2 (but it's not as sharp as the Daggert it's just more evil and skinny) The SOG would be arguable as #2 or #3 depending on your feelings for the Tai Pan which is a little too large to be a concealed so it loses its concealment factor. Not to mention none of these top 10 selections ever included more than a floppy leather or plastic lined nylon sheath - this is the best ever delivered sheath on a factory battle dagger. |
