This is a Blackie Collins design trick mechanism ProTech based on the Godfather series and also partially draws on an early WW2 era Will Rogers knife model. This stouter and smaller version of the Godfather has a secret opening mechanism and a secondary safety. To fire the automatic blade you pull the safety back into the off position and tilt the handle up while squeezing the blade until you hear a click inside. The knife is now ready to open. Next you slip your fingers away from the blade and it flies into the locked open position. Press the button to unlock the blade in the open position, fold the blade and tilt the handle down till you hear the click inside. Switch on the safety or just slip it into the pocket at-the-ready with the attached pocket clip on the reverse. Also note that there are many different ways to open this knife that make it kind of fun play with and really easy to use and almost effortlessly deploy. Of course the flip side of it is that no one else will know how to get your knife open besides you.
