With all the function of the original mini copperlock, this expert conversion was done was perfectly executed by "TANK" and not even a seasoned collector would suspect anything out of the ordinary if you passed it to him for a look-see. Press the shield in the center of the knife and the story begins: Sourced as new from Case Cutlery in Bradford PA, each knife is then taken apart after the body rivets are drilled out and all the parts are spread out on the bench. TANK seats in his pre configured spring drive to the body cavity then hand tunes the action so it's flawless smooth. The scales undergo a slight hollowing to make room for the spring drive and the shield is drilled out and converted into the button that will activate the auto action. The knife is then assembled and held fast with a new set of rivets that are fit one at a time and then mushroomed over or peened with a miniature ball peen hammer. Afterwards the bolsters are polished up and the knife is cleaned from top to bottom before being replaced to the original package - like nothing ever happened...
The result is something quite special: A dual action concealed release leaf spring fired automatic that will last a lifetime. There are only handful of guys, maybe 6 tops all the understudy of Buch Vallotton, in the world that can do that reliably and TANK is one of them. Made the old fashioned way in the USA with solid nickel silver bolsters, full brass liners, brass rivet assembly and an extra sharp hand honed edge, these Case Copper Locks are the perfect trusted companion for every day carry in the pocket. The blade glides out nicely on the pivot and lock up is extra tight - press the backspring to unlock the blade in the opened position and the blade snaps back into the handle with closing so you know it's secure.
